Shannon Madden, Assistant Principal
Ms. Shannon Madden
I am beyond blessed and excited to be a part of the R.J. Vial Administrative team. Our mission is to provide high-quality educational opportunities for all students. At R.J. Vial we equip each student with the knowledge, motivation, and skills to become academically, emotionally, and socially ready for the future.
I am in my 22nd year as an educator, with 19 of those years dedicated to St. Charles Parish Public Schools. I earned my B.S. in Elementary Education from the University of New Orleans and, in 2021, completed a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from Southeastern Louisiana University. My professional journey has been shaped by my passion for education, as well as my personal connection to the district—I am a proud parent of two boys who were educated here from Pre-K through 12th grade and both graduated from Hahnville High School.
Before transitioning into school leadership, I had the privilege of teaching all four core subjects—Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies—at Lakewood Elementary. Over several years, I had the pleasure of working with 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students, which provided me with invaluable experience in diverse classrooms and across a range of grade-levels and subjects. I am now entering my second year as Assistant Principal at RJV, and I am deeply grateful for every moment I've spent at this wonderful school. The opportunity to serve our students, staff, and community continues to be an incredibly rewarding experience.
It has been an honor to serve our community, and I look forward to continuing to contribute to the growth and success of our R.J. Vial students where we – Dream it, Believe it, Achieve it!
